Apotheosis:

Syncretism

Some people answer one call and give it everything. A few hear more than one, and learn what it costs to keep listening.

§ 00

A character may walk more than one Apotheosis path at once. Each path's own entry must be earned as written — a Communion witnessed, an ascension event survived, a motivation chosen and lived. Holding another path never waives an entry.

§ 01

Primary and Secondary

One of your paths is your primary; every other is secondary. Declare the primary the moment you hold two. The primary advances normally. A secondary is capped at its first rung for as long as it is secondary, and switching which path is primary requires abandoning your former primary's progress beyond its own first rung, permanently.

What the first rung is, per path:

AFirst rung
A · 01Egregore

the First Communion and the First Attainment, with all their normal requirements.

A · 02Divinity

Divine Rank 0, reached through an ascension event.

A · 03Ethos

a chosen motivation at Depth 0, with the starting 8 Ethos Points and access to Tier 1 abilities only.

BWhere a secondary stops
B · 01Egregore

A secondary Egregori never learns the Second Attainment.

B · 02Divinity

A secondary divinity never advances past Rank 0; the cosmos files them under quasi-deity and closes the drawer.

B · 03Ethos

A secondary Ethos earns no further EP.

§ 02

The Drawbacks Are Not Divisible

Every drawback, price, meter, and behavioral clause of every path you hold applies in full, at your rung's values, for as long as you hold it.

CCarried in full
C · 01Egregore

A secondary Egregori pays Stamina and Resonance costs as written.

C · 02Divinity

A secondary divinity keeps Divine Death's reform period, the Tag penalties, and all other Rank 0 obligations.

C · 03Ethos

A secondary Ethos lives under its motivation's contradiction penalties and betrayal clause at its held Depth, as written.

§ 03

Crossing the Streams

03.1

When bonuses granted by different Apotheosis paths would apply to the same roll or the same statistic, apply the best one; they overlap rather than stack.

03.2

Each path's unique resources stay its own — nothing converts Stamina, Resonance, Divine Power, Influence, Dominion, Ethos Points, or Ethos Pool points into one another, and no path's abilities can pay another path's costs.
